Milestone #1 Family Dedication - This is the Beginning!!
Age: Any age as long as children are living at home

The beginning of the Journey of Family begins with a decision on behalf of parents to choose to put God in the center of their family. This is the same challenge that Joshua issued to the Israelites when crossing into the promised land. He said, "Choose today whom you will serve… But as for me and my family, we will serve the LORD. JOSHUA 24:15 NLT" 

We all choose what we are going to build our lives upon, and there are plenty of options to choose from. But to make the choice to put God at the center of your family is the first step toward experiencing the life God created you and your family for.

What does this look like? First of all, it means allowing God to be the Lord of your life - to be first. Secondly, it means being intentional about teaching your kids about God through Bible reading, prayer, and "as you go." Deuteronomy 6 says, "Talk about them (Scriptures) when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. 8 Tie them (Scriptures) to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders. 9 Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates." Deuteronomy 6:7-9

So, Milestone #1 is about putting God in the center of your family. Are you ready?? You can do it!!
